Purple Frog are currently working on a new multi supplier ecommerce site for Photogether who are planning to offer a new online presence that professional photographers can use for purchasing presentation products. The majority of the products will be related to weddings and portraiture and will offer the photographer albums, frames and mounts from a wide range of suppliers through one easy to use portal.
The site will be able to handle an unlimited number of suppliers and will give each of these access to their own back office enabling them to manage their own products and prices and to create promotions and special offers. The photographer will be able to purchase all these items in one basket and with one credit card payment whilst the system will ensure that each supplier receives the order relevant to them. On line tracking will also allow each supplier to keep the photographer informed of the progress of their order.
Purple Frog will be involved in the on going development of the site as the concept of Photogether is to develop a community as well as an ecommerce store and the site will as it is developed have blogs, forums, and social networking links which will allow each supplier to communicate with photographers and to promote their products and brands and to be able to gather insights into customer requirements.
The site is due to launch before Xmas and is expected to have a dramatic effect on the photographic presentation industry.
